Nourishing Fruit

Alan Hammond:  Every incarnate Angel is part of a much larger Identity, that of the Archangel, as we have called it. So each one of us is connected to all the essences of Archangelic Being. These can be activated on Earth by radiation from the undimensional levels of Being, and also by the Tone in our environments. We are concerned to intensify our own expression of the ToneÑand that may activate divine essences in others. This is part of the divine technology of which we are a part.

IÕd like to suggest, if I may, that you imagine a bowl of fruitÑjust one item of each fruitÑa plum, a pear, an apple, whatever. Not too big a bowl! Place this bowl either on the altar of the Lord in the Temple, or place it on the dining room table, whichever you feel most comfortable with. We will leave these bowls there for now.

I asked you to imagine a bowl of fruit, and we recognize that imagination is one of the abilities that the human consciousness possesses. Most people donÕt notice that they have a consciousness. It is so accepted, that it is not noticed as a miraculous form in a certain vibrational level of substance. It is an astounding creation! Who could have thought it up? Consciousness is an aspect of every form in every dimension, and it pervades all of Being. Many people think of the universe as a mindless machine. Actually, it is full of consciousness. Consciousness is a key component in the divine technology. In false identity, human beings donÕt know how to use this form. And in our experience of life on Earth we have only seen hints of its possibilities.

The human view of the world and the cosmos is created by our consciousness, by the design of this form. But because the human consciousness is now distorted, so is our interpretation of everything we see. We can begin to appreciate that human beings, ourselves included, should learn to be more accomplished in the use of this form, our bodies of consciousness, just as we have tried to cultivate the skills of our physical bodies. Human education, which is an endeavor to cultivate the consciousness, tends to force consciousness into rigid forms and processes. Much so-called education is but memorization. Obviously some memorization is useful, but memorization used as though it was thinking can be like running in place, whereas true thinking is like walking in a landscape. There is a difference.

Some people, and even some religions, mistakenly think that they are their consciousness. Descartes, the French philosopher, once said, "I think, therefore I am." No, that is not true. The truth is, "I Am, and I can think through this instrument of consciousness that I have created." Angels incarnate in human form have created this form of consciousness, which is designed specifically to function at this level of the creative field. The human experience of thinking is not the only form of consciousness or thinking. Consciousness is a form, a body, in a certain level of vibrational substance. It has a unique design for each individual. Parenthetically, I would mention that the design of a consciousness is something different to the content of the consciousness. A lot of the content is dependent on education and life experience.

Here is a moderately interesting question. Is a personÕs body of consciousness beautiful or ugly? We can discern something of a personÕs body of consciousness as we develop perception. Physical bodies and bodies of consciousness can have refined or coarser features. They can be lively or sluggish, and so on. IÕm afraid most of our consciousnesses are somewhat distorted now. Like physical bodies, bodies of consciousness can be caressed, stimulated, hurt, sedated. The body of consciousness is designed to be nourished primarily by food from above itself vibrationally. We have said "from the current of Spirit" through spiritual expression. Most people tend to feed their body of consciousness from the lower, external substances in the Earth. As a result, the body of consciousness tends to be weak and is subject to a great range of dis-ease, such as paranoia, depression, fear, greed, hatred, feelings of inferiority or superiority, and so on. These diseases of consciousness lead to dis-ease in the physical form and in the larger outer body of the human world.

The Archangelic body of consciousness-that is, all the forms of consciousness on Earth-should be focused in Man, who was designed to accommodate the sense of Identity-"I Am." All the other forms of consciousness through all the life forms on Earth are part of mankindÕs unconscious mind. We can see immediately how the increasing extinction of various species on Earth will have, and is having an effect on the human consciousness.

In true Identity, which is an aspect of the larger Archangelic Identity, we can begin to meet events in our lives from this much larger Identity. The events we experience are universal in the body of mankind. We can begin to render a great service as we meet experiences from this larger Identity. Then we are not trying to deal with them as little individuals. In this larger Identity we do not seek to direct the Archangelic Body, as some fanciful imaginations would have it. That is above our current pay scale! Rather, we seek to encourage the expression of the Tone wherever we are, by reason of the quality of our own expression of Spirit.

The cosmos is one organic Body, moving in every moment in every dimension. That in itself is quite a thought! Ultimately, all substance is energy on the move. So we donÕt try to stop movement. It canÕt be done. We must learn how to move with it at all levels. Even if we think we are being still at any level, we are not. We are part of the cosmos and the cosmos is moving at every level. A simple example of this might be when we are on a bus. One thinks one is sitting still, but of course one isnÕt sitting still. One is moving along with the bus and with much more. So for health and happiness we must keep moving, and keep moving at all levelsÑat the spiritual level, the mental level, and the physical level. There is no need to try to keep moving. Everything is moving. We simply have to move with the current of Life in the moment.

For example, at the physical level we are urged to exercise. At the very least we can tackle our chores with pleasure, knowing we are moving with the cosmic requirements. At the mental level, certainly doing crosswords and Sudoku can be useful. But also just dealing with the problems or situations that occur in the movement of life is, in itself, exercise. We do not shirk from problems or situations, but delightedly think of creative ways of dealing with them. To keep moving at the spiritual level, all one has to do is to resolve to sound the Tone in every moment. As we know there are situations that arise which give plenty of spiritual exercise in this way! Sometimes it requires something to maintain the Tone in challenging situations. Everything and everyone has their own way and speed of moving. Let them. I suppose there are situations where one has to try to get people to move a little quicker or a little slower. But in general it is helpful to let people move in their own way, at their own speed.

Our every experience is part of a larger and a smaller movement at every level. At the physical level we are participating in the cosmic and atomic movement. At the mental level we are part of the movement of the mass consciousness. At the spiritual level we share in the state of spirit of all human beings, and also share in the radiation from the undimensional levels of Being. Even out of time and space there is movement because in the undimensional levels of Being, which relate to the qualities of Being, there is an ever-changing emphasis in these qualities.

This moment here and now is part of every cycle of time and space in each of our lives. I wonÕt take time to elaborate on that thought, but this moment is part of the cycle of our lives and also part of the cycle of cosmic eternityÑwhich is quite a leap in scopeÑbut itÕs true nevertheless. We can, in this and every moment, be conscious of being a part of every one of those cycles, and play a creative part in all of them now. This is a real key to the experience of meaning in oneÕs life. You often hear the phrase relative to movement, "I donÕt know whether IÕm coming or going." The truth is, of course, itÕs always both. We are always coming from somewhere and going to somewhere, and we are always leaving something and approaching something.

A dominant experience of movement that we all know these days is this process of integration. WeÕve examined this idea on the global scale, but we always experience such larger movement locally. In this we find ourselves being pressed closer and closer to some universal Archangelic experiences. We are being pressed closer to people. We could think of that globally and nationally. Locally we find ourselves more immediately in communication with people. We may find ourselves being pressed into some uncomfortable situations, perhaps, like illness. Maybe we havenÕt had much illness. But when and if we encounter this or some other discomforts, these are universal experiences in the Archangelic Body, and in the Archangelic Identity we are required to deal with them. There are all sorts of emotions that we are being pressed closer to that are also universal in the Archangelic body of consciousness. I wonÕt rehearse all the possible feelings, but as we encounter them it would be wise not to assume that they are just me. The process of integration requires that we encounter thoughts and feelings that we may not have encountered before. Transcending all of these intensifying experiences of integration is the movement towards the awareness of our true Identity. This we may embrace with joy, great confidence, and thanksgiving.

So we have seen that all of Being is composed of energy, Spirit, on the move. One interesting aspect of energy on the move that has been studied is that of feng shui. This is a popular consideration of how energy flows through buildings, and around interior furnishings. It is suggested that the design of these forms affects the flow of energy. However, there can be more personal aspects of feng shui, and if we give them more conscious consideration it may help us in the art and science of the release of personal energy or spirit. For example, there is the use of color. Color is a powerful conveyor of energy. We can participate daily in this aspect of the technology by our selection of the color of the clothes we choose to wear. There is no one favored color over another, but obviously some colors are more somber than others, some are bright, some are garish.

Sound is another form of energy release. This can relate to the way we speak. For example, some people speak too loudly, some too softly. Some people talk too much, and others too little. And of course there is the whole realm of music and the quality of spirit released through the music we listen to. We can see feng shui applied to touch. LetÕs look at our food. There are some habitual tastes that are bad feng shui-bad for the release of our Spirit, our energy. There are those who overindulge in sweets or in salt, or junk food in general. This all relates to feng shui-to the release, the movement of our spirits.

If we consciously seek to express on-Tone Spirit, we will find that gradually this will bring about the accurate art and science of the release of our energy into our worlds, as part of the divine technology for which we are responsible. We are concerned that our manifestation of energy should be a blessing to the Whole.

LetÕs go back to these bowls of fruit that we left. These bowls of fruit can represent the manifestation of our thoughts, our words and our deeds-the fruits of our presence. I suggested that you leave them either on the altar of the Lord in the Temple, or on the dining room table, whichever felt most comfortable. Although there is a difference in the vibrational context of the altar or the dining room table, in reality one is no better than the other because everywhere that I Am in the Archangelic Body is sacred.

We have been blessed by the fruit of other peopleÕs thinking and acting, in ways far too numerous to remember or enumerate. But the fruit of their living was not there merely to be admired, beautiful though the fruit may be to look at. Fruit is designed to be ingested and to bring nourishment to the bodies-both physical, and that of consciousness. The fruit may bring nourishment, but there are also the seeds contained within the fruit, which will produce similar fruit elsewhere. All this process of nourishment and reproduction that goes on in the Body of the Archangel is part of the Archangelic technology of creation.

We seek in our lives to nourish the Archangelic Body. We seek to let human beings return to the Garden experience and to eat again of the fruit of the Tree of LifeÑthe tree that was forsaken. This led to starvation, deformity and misery. We look to eat once again of the Tree of Life, so that we may contribute to the health of the much vaster Design of which we are a part.

(Following several comments:) As Anne was saying, human beings have a much broader range of creativity than other forms on Earth. That is true of each of us. Rod mentioned that each of us is unique. IÕd like to emphasize that point. We each have a great range of possible use by the Lord, by the Whole. Each of us is unique. There is no one else like you in the Design. Therefore each one of us is singularly precious to the Lord. Each one of us has been singularly cared for and nourished in our time on Earth in order that we may give expression to our unique Spirits-and this, not just for self-gratification or fulfillment, but rather that we may play our part in the Whole. There is no greater fulfillment than this-to give expression to the beauty and the reality of who we are, knowing that we are part of a much vaster Being. We would thank the Lord for this awareness, and for the ongoing responsibility and opportunity that is ours here and now, and indeed, forever. Thank you all for Being where you are.
