Archangelic Omniscience

Alan Hammond:  Welcome everyone. I trust it will be a pleasure to be together as we give a little thought to a small portion of the vastness of Being, which I trust is ours to consider. I’d like to read a familiar couple of verses:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9). A little while ago I mentioned that the Earth within the cosmos is a pretty good analogy of the relative size of human consciousness within cosmic consciousness.

Here is another couple of verses:

“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” (Matthew 10:29-30). The truth being conveyed here is that the Archangelic consciousness, let alone the Cosmic consciousness, is conscious of far more detail than the human mind can possibly conceive of. The Archangelic consciousness is aware of the life and death of every microbe that exists on this planet, and indeed is aware of the change in every atom. Now the human mind may doubt this ability because it immediately compares it with its own awareness, which is a very limited criterion! Archangelic awareness requires fine substance, and we can immediately recognize that the substance available in human consciousness is gross and sparse. Maybe there is an inkling beginning to dawn in human awareness of this disparity, such as when science now concedes that over 90% of the substance and energy in the cosmos is invisible to human awareness.

All the current knowledge in human consciousness (such as what we might think of as science or knowledge about nature) is included in Cosmic mind. However, the awareness in Cosmic mind is both complete and accurate. We are talking about absolute knowledge now. Just as a small example, let’s think of the intelligence required to create a blade of grass. There is the design of the vegetation itself. But beyond that is the need for the design and creation of the required soils, the air, the water, heat, awareness of the nature and behavior of atoms—all this before we even get into the actual life of the grass itself—its reproduction, uses, and so on. So we are talking about a range of knowledge somewhat beyond the abysmal state of human ignorance. But let us, at least in spirit, begin to go in consciousness where human beings have not been for millennia.

Each of us can say, “I Am part of the Identity of Life.” We can also say, “My consciousness is a part of the Archangelic consciousness.” In a very simple way we can begin to see the mechanism that makes the universal awareness possible. For example, every atom has a form of consciousness. And because there is radiation from the Undimensional levels of Being sustaining each atom, we can also say that Cosmic Being, I Am, is present in every atom. Therefore, every atom would behave as it is designed to, to play its part in the Archangelic Body and Consciousness. There is an element of intelligence present in every atom, which provides the basis for the coordinated influence of Spirit throughout the whole Archangelic Body.

We can see something of the network and progression of form and consciousness in the Archangelic Body when we look at atoms that compose molecules, molecules that compose cells, cells that compose organs, organs that compose forms, forms that compose species—and all the species together form a unified ecology of physical form, and a unified form of consciousness. Obviously what I just outlined is hardly a complete picture of the network contributing to awareness, but it is at least a skeletal one that we can comprehend. Communication moves through this network of conscious parts that is ultimately one organism. Just as the individual human body generates different substances for specific use in cells for unique tasks, developing different aspects of awareness within our own physical bodies, so does the Archangelic, planetary Body generate pertinent substances and forms for Its awareness and function.

Little or nothing is known about the consciousnesses of all the species on Earth and how these contribute to the planet’s physical ecology and the ecology of the planetary consciousness. This would include birds, insects, fish, animals, vegetation, and so on. The extinction of any species not only affects the physical body of the planet, but also affects its body of consciousness. Indeed, the death of any single form affects the consciousness of the Whole. Thus we can see that the Archangelic consciousness, the planetary consciousness, is always changing to accommodate the planet’s ever-changing position, role, and process in the Cosmic Whole. How wonderful and appropriate is this constant change!

All substance, every atom and its consciousness, is seeking to respond to the true Tone of Being. Now that is worth meditating on. For example, our experience of the forms in our personal worlds, tend to appear according to the quality of substance available in us, through which Undimensional radiation can move. We’ve called this radiation the Tone. The human ego is under the delusion that its intelligence is the only real intelligence in the cosmos. But just as the physical cosmos is One, so is its consciousness—and this intelligence functions as One. This vast network of awareness is composed of the ranges of consciousness of all the physical forms. The one common universal factor with all these diverse forms is the presence of Life, of Being—“ I Am.” There is an intermediary connection throughout the network of communication that we cannot see as yet, so we must leave that aspect of the consideration for now—but it pervades and links everything.

Life is One. “I Am” is One. Just as the billions of atoms in the individual human body come to focus in a single identity and a single consciousness, so is it with the Archangelic Identity, Body and Consciousness—and likewise with the Cosmic Identity, Body and Consciousness. As we generate finer substance, the movement of the individual Angel (who each of us can say I Am) can become more consciously part of the movement of the larger “I Am,” blending in Identity, in consciousness, and in function. “I Am” is the holographic Identity everywhere. Hence, in true Identity we can extend an influence to everyone and everything everywhere—from within Ourselves, and within them. Sometimes the human mind looks at the population of the Earth and thinks, “Oh, there are so many people out there, how can we extend a significant, creative influence?” That thought is irrelevant. Identified in Being, we are in fact, in essence, everywhere. Whether we individually influence one person, a million, or a billion people is totally irrelevant. Where “I Am,” I seek to act in the Tone. Then, “I Am” present.

The alternative to universal, complete cosmic consciousness would be zones of complete unconsciousness—areas uncontrolled by the laws of Being. There is no evidence of anywhere that Law does not work, where there is no response to Law. We could say that the Archangel, as far as this planet is concerned, is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. If this is true, why is there suffering on Earth? Well, there are some questions for which the human consciousness has an inadequate quality of substance to comprehend the answer. This is one of them. One is not apologetic for saying that because this is simply the fact of the matter. We can see that true Being is not fully present in human consciousness because of the lack of fine substance through which higher awareness can manifest. Thus it seems to that consciousness that Life is not omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. This state in human awareness is a very temporary condition, and even now is in the process of being adjusted.

We’ve been considering consciousness and thought. Everyone spends most of their lives thinking—only most people probably aren’t consciously aware of it. Thoughts are forms in a certain level of vibrational substance. People meet and commune or fight with each other in this invisible level of substance and form. We cannot avoid sharing experience in this level of form with others, and indeed with the mass consciousness. We know it is not always a very pleasant experience. Thought forms in us, and in the mass consciousness, are very large influences in the creation of physical forms in our outer worlds. Thoughts can only emerge through the quality of substance available to the radiation shining from the Undimensional. This fact explains the gaps in human consciousness and thinking. Where do thoughts come from? It is fascinating how they appear. True, some come from the mass consciousness, but the Design would have them emerge from the Undimensional current—and that current is largely mistranslated now because of the lack of fine substance. Without speculating too far, what would emerge if the current had the full spectrum of substance available to it?

It has been said that the human consciousness has fallen. It has fallen into orientation in the outer world of so-called facts. Parenthetically, these facts invariably turn out not to be facts later on. Human orientation is in this outer realm of things, rather than being oriented upward into the spiritual current. Obviously the outer consciousness cannot see all the outer factors that are involved in anything. Our most trustworthy guide in living, in interacting with anything, is what we have called the Tone, the Tone of true character, and the thoughts that emerge out of that.

An aspect of the fall of human consciousness happened when thinking left heaven, the true orientation upward, and blended with the consciousness of forms lower in the Design. Even now, much of our consciousness is mixed with the processes transpiring in these other levels. As we embody the Tone, we can begin to consciously rejoin the flow of true thoughts and true thinking for every part of our lives. Our every thought in every moment can be part of the Archangelic thinking and Its creativity. What could be more thrilling than this? In true Identity we are part of the Archangelic body of thought. Surely we can see the honor of being consciously included in this level of creative activity—an activity that is, in fact, spread throughout the whole Archangelic planetary body.

There is a level of experience in consciousness that is too subtle to take conscious thought form. We call this experience feelings. This experience sometimes indicates that with the amount of fine substance available, we are encountering too many factors for articulation in thought. However, we can still let the Tone bathe feelings before they flow in radiation out into the creative field. Thoughts and feelings are never nothing, nor are they ever wasted. If they are released into the Archangelic consciousness, attuned with the Tone, they will have a creative effect somewhere.

In the range of vibrational substances, thoughts are of a more intense substance than physical form. As the current of Life moves through the substances and forms of thought, thoughts are magnetized. Thoughts are magnetized forms. We have noticed that thoughts attract thoughts; they can also repel thoughts. As magnets, thoughts can also draw physical form into our worlds, and they can also repel other forms. Here is a fascinating field of consideration. The Tone of our thoughts is potently significant. Our thinking can draw new, creative thoughts to us that we have never encountered before—and in the restorative cycle, this is certainly needed.

How can each human being who prays (another form of internal process in consciousness) expect their prayer to be heard out of all the billions of people thus engaged? The human concept about prayer is not the true process of communication in the network of Being. But because of the universal holographic presence of Being, I Am, the Archangel is meticulously aware of activity everywhere. Thus, the presence and usefulness of every organism in the Archangelic Body is known and utilized to fulfill the divine purpose for which each one exists. Increasingly conscious of this universal presence, intelligence, and purpose, surely our outer minds can begin to relax and let the Archangel function through us. Increasingly, we can consciously participate in the glorious creativity in Being!
