The Archangelic Body

    Alan Hammond:  When I was in my teens living in England, I remember wondering who was the wisest man in the world and where he lived, and thinking that he was probably wise enough not to be in the public eye! Some years later I met Martin Exeter who was living in a small village in the middle of British Columbia. For me, he proved to be the wisest man I ever met, or read. As most of us know, he remained virtually unknown.

    One characteristic of the human ego is that it wants to be seen. In contrast, focalizations of spiritual expression are largely invisible to human nature. However, everyone is visible to the Archangelic consciousness. The Lord, the Archangel, sees every action. Every action is significant. We know this within ourselves, but every act is also significant because the Archangelic Body sees it. Knowing this allows us to have the highest experience of meaning in living. One major advantage in the world the way it is, of having spiritual focus invisible to human nature, is that it cannot be seen in order to be harmed. Human nature is always seeking to oppose that which threatens its very existence.

    The Archangelic Body moves as one. We may have read about the 144,000 on Mount Zion moving with the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. This is a symbol of oneness. The control of the Archangelic Body comes from within itself. Like the individual human body, the arms and legs don't move themselves-neither are they the cause of the movement of the rest of the body. The body is moved by the identity of that body.

    Considering this matter of oneness of the body, we can see the holographic effects of the intensification of Spirit through the body, both in ourselves and in the larger body of mankind. We as individuals, and the body of mankind as a whole, are moving through an intensified period of purification and integration. The body of mankind is finding itself being integrated. And we too as individuals are finding ourselves being reintegrated with the larger planetary Body and also into the experience of true Identity. Nothing can stop this process. As we know and can increasingly observe, the distorted state in the body of mankind will be and is being eliminated. There is a statement in the Bible that says, in effect, that in the last days every knee shall bow to the Lord, bow to the Focus of this world. It might be more appropriately stated, that everyone and everything shall be reabsorbed into the one identity-"I Am."

    In considering such matters, we may think we are special in the body of mankind. Undoubtedly we do have something to do in this collective design, but we are not the slightest bit concerned with inflating ourselves, which the human ego just loves to do. We recognize we are merely an aspect of the Archangelic Identity and Body. We do what we do, not to bring human nature under pressure by our incredible righteousness. Nor are we seeking to rebuke everybody, or to be an example for everybody else to follow. The human ego would like to think of itself in all these exalted roles. No. We do what we do simply because we are who we are. We are simply being our Selves, as fully and clearly as we may through the human equipment we have. I suppose many people would debate what I have said so far, but that is of no consequence to us. We must let them continue to move the way they decide to, confident that the integrating process is in motion.

    Our true Identity is in the Archangelic Spirit. This has some rather practical implications. For example, are you lonely? Do you fret because you are meeting only a few people who seem to be mediocre at best? Perhaps you spend a lot of time dreaming of meeting some really important people, stimulating people-maybe people at the top of your profession, presidents, celebrities, whoever. No, that is not necessary. In spiritual identity and spiritual expression we meet, in essence, the whole Body of mankind through each person we encounter. We, and they (whoever they are) embody the essences of the Archangelic Body. We, and they, embody such things as aspiration, hope, fear, and so on. We encounter, in ourselves and in each other, all the characteristics of the Body in essence. Our job is to bring our own consciousness and perhaps subsequently to help to bring theirs, through to an awareness of true Identity and expression. Feelings of loneliness or of not meeting interesting people is largely due to the fact that it is not they who are absent, it is You, it is Me, in true Identity, who is absent from the scene, because when we are in true Identity and meet others, there is communion.

    The Archangelic Body has, we have said, four levels of conscious action, and consciousness in different people tends to be focused at the different levels. There are the physical, mental, spiritual expression levels-and finally, the undimensional level of Identity. All human beings have Angels within them. Each Angel has unique external factors that they have to work through in their life on Earth. There is nothing wrong with any of these levels. They are all relevant to the expression of the Archangel. We recognize that the finer substances govern the lower. Thus the mental level, the level of ideas, precedes the level of physical action; and the spiritual expression level affects both the mental and the physical levels. We are concerned to let our identity ascend into the undimensional Identity, and extend this influence down through the other levels of substance.

    The overall outer Archangelic Body obviously has various levels of consciousness in it. Many people can satisfy their spiritual aspiration to serve God through participating in the various religions, for example. They do this with good deeds at the physical level, or at the mental level they may seek to serve God with creative thoughts such as loving their neighbor, worshipping God, or advocating world peace. We can see the value in this function. However, most people are held in a false identity-the false human identity. Therefore they have a limited sense of self, a limited sense of everyone else, and a limited sense of purpose. However, everyone on Earth is a part of the Archangelic Body and therefore, as far as we are concerned, are a part of our ministry and we are a part of theirs. All races, all nations, all religions, all philosophies, all the agnostics and atheists-they are all included in the overall processes we've been considering.

    We have heard of the Golden Rule which is a fundamental concept contained in all religions. "All things whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do ye even so to them," or "Love thy neighbor as thyself." If we love our true Selves, we love all because we recognize that the reality of everyone is an aspect of the Archangelic Identity-"I Am." This is the holographic experience of Love. One interesting question is, "How much does God love you?" God's love for each of us could only be adequately manifest if everyone was living and expressing in true Identity. It might be rather difficult to conceive of just how great that Love would be, with everyone conveying his or her aspect of the Spirit of God towards you! And beyond that, there are vast ranges of Love to be conveyed through Nature, with Man restored in the true Design. We may see from this that your present expression to others is intended to be part of the Lord's Love to them.

    Consider all the people in the Archangelic Body that you haven't met. Now we can readily appreciate that many of them are very wonderful. Each of them in reality is a unique Spirit. Meeting each one of them would, in fact, give a new aspect of experience in Being. There are all those billions of Angels you haven't met, but what about those you have! We live meeting a very, very few people. These we know, or we think we do. Actually, in many ways they would be very different in different contexts, as would we. Bear that in mind when we look to judge them! Only in true Identity can we relate to anyone adequately. So many of our relationships are based in our own false expression of ourselves, and that evokes distorted reaction from others.

    In true Identity, we are worthy to meet anyone in the Design. We need not be overawed by someone's outer position-presidents, prime ministers, kings, queens-or by their external talents. We meet them through the medium of character. And we do this in humility because we recognize the true Identity of everyone we meet. How can we think of people we haven't met? Well, the truth is that we know all of them in essence. And we discover that when we do meet reality emerging through any human being, we know them well, because we are meeting them in Spirit, in true Identity.

    We do not blame anyone for having a human ego. That can be quite a self-righteous pastime. We recognize the human ego exists because the Angel has little fine substance through which to express him or herself, and therefore there are voids present in the expression of that individual. What is the point of getting wound up about that? Our responsibility is to be concerned with the generation of fine substance in our own expression. This begins to fill the voids in our own substance and expression, and helps others do the same.

    Things are not so happenstance in life as the human mind thinks. We may remember the words contained in the Bible, to the effect that the Lord knows when every sparrow falls to the ground, and that every hair on a person's head is numbered. This points to the level of the Archangelic awareness and involvement in the processes of Life. Can the Archangelic technology, the Spirit through that technology, direct and coordinate the trillions upon trillions upon trillions of factors in everyone's lives simultaneously? Yes indeed! Not knowing this is a clue to the tragic unconscious state and the tinyness of the human mind. This minute awareness and coordination by the Archangelic technology is not true merely because it suggests it in the Bible. The Archangelic government is meticulously extended in the atomic levels of physical life, into the larger cosmic levels, and through the myriad life forms of the integrated ecology of the Earth. This control of process is truly mind-boggling. Why could not this coordinating Intelligence and Power control our lives? Well, it can!

    Fine control requires fine substance for detailed action in every level of outer substance. We are concerned with the generation of these finer levels of substance through spiritual expression, in order that this meticulous control may be more consciously participated in in our living. Perhaps it is difficult for the human mind to be convinced about this meticulous control because it has inadequate fine substance, either to participate in this meticulous Design, or to see it at work. The universe and the Earth seem to be somewhat chaotic and unhappy places to human consciousness. This misperception is merely because the Angels have inadequate fine substance in their human consciousnesses. Also, this absence of fine substance causes Angels to be absent in various levels of action, and therefore unable to create heaven, the true state in those levels, including the levels of consciousness. Conversely, you might say that the consciousness of the devil, the human ego, is full of voids, gaps of substance. So it sees only the absence of heaven, which is purgatory or hell.

    All things work together to perfection for those who love and serve the Lord-for those who generate fine substance-and therefore can see that everything is working together to perfection for the blessing and the purposes of the Whole. Our present and possibly uncomfortable experiences are not merely our solo situation. There are deficiencies in the collective Body that affect us all. The lack of fine substance in others affects us. We have known lacks in our parents, our educators, and in all the people around us. We do not blame them in any way. We understand the situation, and we are concerned to help remedy it by generating fine substance in our own moment by moment living.

    We are in the midst of an amazingly fine and meticulous re-creative process. It is not always comfortable, as we well know. But we understand fundamentally why we are here, and what we are about. So we continue with all the Angels now incarnate on Earth in this reintegrative process. It is our delight to have this supremely meaningful and fulfilling task.
